The Youth Employment Service (YES) programme at Eskom is a 12-month work-based internship designed to provide unemployed South African youth between the ages of 18 and 34 with valuable work experience across various departments within the Human Resources division at Megawatt Park, Sunninghill. This initiative aims to empower young people with practical skills and exposure to a professional environment, helping them gain a foothold in the job market. Ideal candidates must have a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification, must not be studying full-time or have previously participated in the YES programme.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in the 12-month workplace experience programme as outlined by Eskom
• Support daily administrative and operational tasks within the assigned department
• Learn and apply basic job-related skills under the guidance of supervisors and mentors
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and commitment throughout the internship period

Qualifications

• Must be a South African Citizen
• Aged between 18 to 34
• Grade 12 or equivalent and/or post matric certificate/programme
